Alek Wek or changing the standards of beauty

Alek Wek irrevocably changed the standards of beauty for the world of fashion, that is... for the world, by her appearance on the cover of the November issue of Elle in 1997. According to the i-D magazine she is among the 50 Most Influential Faces in Fashion, and was named Model of the Decade. Alek collaborated with the greatest photographers: Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts, Annie Leibovitz. In addition to her modeling career she designs handbags, plays in films and do charitable activities.
